In December I already

about the Soviet dissident Anatoly Tikhonovich Marchenko and his book “My Testimonies.”
Now I want to offer you
read
three short chapters from this book, telling about the political realities in the Soviet camps in the 1960s.
In the chapter “And with us everything is as if it were free,” the author talks about how “political work” is carried out in the camp.
In the chapter "Khrushch was removed" the author is
witness to the events that took place in the camp in connection with the removal of N.S. Khrushchev from the post of First Secretary of the CPSU Central Committee in 1964.
And the chapter “Bouquet” tells a story that happened at a camp amateur evening and reflects the multinational composition of prisoners in Soviet political camps.

В декабре я уже писал о советском диссиденте Анатолии Тихоновиче Марченко и его книге "Мои показания".
Сейчас я хочу предложить вам прочесть три небольшие главы из этой книги, повествующие о связанных с политикой реалиях в советских лагерях в 1960-ые гг.
В главе "И у нас все, как на воле", автор рассказывает о том, как в лагере поставлена "политическая работа".
В главе "Хруща сняли" автор является
свидетелем событий, произошедших в лагере в связи со снятием Н.С. Хрущева с поста первого секретаря ЦК КПСС в 1964 г.
А в главе "Букет" рассказана история, случившаяся на вечере лагерной самодеятельности и отражающая многонациональный состав заключённых в советских политических лагерях.
