"Somewhat unexpectedly for myself, I met my thirtieth birthday on August 2. This is already my third birthday in the pre-trial detention center, and the previous two were somewhat more memorable: in 2023, I spent this day in the Basmanny District Court, where my preventive measure was extended, in 2024, exactly on this day, the news came about a major prisoner exchange that took place the day before, which was the best gift. This time everything went quietly and calmly. In the morning I was congratulated by my cellmate in the double cell. In the evening, we arranged some semblance of a festive dinner from available means. Also during the day, traditionally, I found and read in the Old Testament about the deeds of the prophet Elijah - after all, it is Elijah's Day (1 Kings 17-19, 2 Kings 1-2).
But the birthday echoes afterwards too. On August 6, when we were once again taken to court, colleagues gave me a cake and cupcakes available in the prison shop, and on August 11, after two weeks of silence, they finally brought letters. For the third time already, the third birthday in a row, I experience an incredible feeling when I receive a hefty stack of congratulations. I am sincerely grateful to everyone who writes and remembers. It is truly invaluable.

«Несколько неожиданно для самого себя встретил 2 августа свое тридцатилетие. Это уже третий день рождения в сизо, и предыдущие два были несколько более запоминающимися: в 2023 году этот день я встретил в Басманном районном суде, где проходило продление меры пресечения, в 2024 году именно в этот день пришла новость о состоявшемся накануне крупном обмене заключёнными, что стало лучшим подарком. В этот же раз все прошло тихо и спокойно. С утра меня поздравил мой сосед по двухместной камере. Вечером мы с ним устроили некое подобие праздничного ужина из подручных средств. Ещё днём традиционно нашел и прочёл в Ветхом завете о деяниях пророка Илии — всё-таки Ильин день (3 Цар. 17-19, 4 Цар. 1-2).
Но день рождения отзывается эхом и после. Шестого августа, когда нас в очередной раз возили в суд, коллеги одарили меня тортиком и кексами, доступными в сизошном магазине, а 11 августа, после двух недель молчания, наконец, принесли письма. Уже в третий раз, третий день рождения подряд я испытываю невероятное чувство, когда получаю увесистую стопку поздравлений. Искренне благодарен всем, кто пишет и помнит. Это действительно бесценно.
