“The onset of yet another, already the fourth anniversary of the start of the war, once again shows that neither side can win on the battlefield, while both are losing every day, literally sacrificing their future. In addition to direct casualties and destruction, in Russia, against the backdrop of military aggression and militaristic hysteria, the most monstrous forms of authoritarianism are emerging, which have a long-term destructive effect on the entire society.
Now, after four years, there are certain hopes for a peace agreement, and although these hopes are not so many, I still don’t want to think that in a year we will have to talk about the fifth anniversary and five years of war.
Peace is needed. Then, perhaps, normality will come. This will largely depend on us.

«Наступление очередной, уже четвертой годовщины начала войны еще раз показывает, что победить на поле боя не может ни одна из сторон, при этом обе проигрывают каждый день, буквально жертвуя своим будущим. Помимо непосредственных жертв и разрушений, в России на фоне военной агрессии и милитаристской истерии возникают наиболее уродливые формы авторитаризма, оказывающие долгосрочный деструктивный эффект на все общество.

Сейчас, после четырех лет, есть определенные надежды на мирное соглашение, и хотя этих надежд не так много, но все же не хочется думать, что через год придется говорить о пятой годовщине и пяти годах войны.

Необходим мир. Потом, возможно, придет и нормальность. Это уже во многом будет зависеть от нас.
