“Recently, we have heard more and more talk about contacts between Russia and the West on peace negotiations. I really want to believe that negotiations will begin, that they will take place, that people on both sides will stop dying, because there is no military solution to the current situation.
But regardless of the negotiations and their results, one must always keep in mind that the direct culprit of this entire situation is one person - Vladimir Putin. It is he who uses foreign policy to control domestic policy. It is he who uses the methods of the nineteenth century in the twenty-first century. It is he who uses the Gopnitsa approach to international relations. It was he who invaded the neighboring country three years ago, and because of him, for the fourth year now, tens of thousands have been killed and millions have suffered.
It can be ironic that Yanukovych, Medvedchuk and Assad are a wonderful gallery of the results of Putin’s foreign policy course. But its real long-term results will be huge problems for Russia in all spheres, internally and externally. And the longer this course lasts, the deeper the degradation and the harder it will be for Russia later.

«Последнее время слышно все больше разговоров о контактах России и Запада по вопросам мирных переговоров. Очень хочется верить, что переговоры все же начнутся, что они состоятся, что люди с обеих сторон перестанут погибать, ибо военного решения у сложившейся ситуации нет.
Но безотносительно переговоров и их итогов нужно всегда держать в голове, что непосредственным виновником всей этой ситуации является один человек – Владимир Путин. Это он использует внешнюю политику для контроля внутренней. Это он использует методы девятнадцатого века в веке двадцать первом. Это он использует гопницкий подход к международным отношениям. Это он вторгся в соседнюю страну три года назад, и это из-за него уже четвертый год погибают десятки тысяч, страдают миллионы.
Можно иронизировать, что Янукович, Медведчук и Асад – прекрасная галерея итогов путинского внешнеполитического курса.
