“On January 11, I heard news about an correspondence squabble between I. Musk and a number of European leaders, whom he criticized in a very rude manner and received in response accusations of interference in the internal affairs of Europe.
I am more than skeptical about Musk the politician, and the European political mainstream in the person of Mr. Macron, Starmer and Scholz, if not more sympathetic, is at least closer and more understandable to me. But there are a couple of points that I would like to note.
We can say that Musk, who already has a political appointment in the new administration, should not allow himself such liberties and rudeness, as well as direct approval of some forces in Europe. But, in my opinion, Musk’s frivolity and his association with representatives of the German “Alternative for Germany”
and populists like her say a lot, first of all, about himself and the team to which he belongs. So thank him for speaking about all this publicly.
The second point, which applies more to European leaders, is that freedom is dialectical and impossible without a certain degree of coercion. But the power should not adjust the degree of this coercion to itself, but, on the contrary, it itself should adapt to it and correspond to it. Otherwise, the hypocrisy already inherent in politics becomes too noticeable. And it may turn out, as in the famous phrase, that “democracy is when we, the democrats, are in power.” And freedom of speech is when we say what we like. No, freedom of speech is for everyone.
As a postscript, I would like to say that if Trump’s victory has at least some positive effect, it is that the policies of many American companies, including social networks, will shift towards reducing censorship and outright excesses with affirmative action. Well, at least that's it.

«11 января услышал новость о заочной перебранке между И. Маском и рядом европейских лидеров, которых он раскритиковал в весьма грубой форме и получил в ответ обвинения во вмешательстве во внутренние делаа Европы.
К Маску-политику я отношусь более чем скептически, и европейский политический мейнстрим в лице г. Макрона, Стармера и Шольца мне, если и не симпатичней, то как минимум ближе и понятней. Но есть пара моментов, которые хочется отметить.
Можно говорить, что Маск, уже имеющий политическое назначение в новой администрации, не должен позволять себе подобных вольностей и грубостей, а равно прямого одобрения некоторых сил в Европе. Но, на мой взгляд, фривольность Маска и его якшание с представителями немецкой "Альтернативы для Германии"
и подобными ей популистами многое говорит в первую очередь о нем самом и той команде, к которой он принадлежит. Так что спасибо ему, что обо всем этом он заявил во всеуслышание.
Второй момент, относящийся скорее к европейским лидерам, состоит в том, что свобода диалектична и невозможна без определенной степени принуждения. Но степень этого принуждения власть не должна подстраивать под себя, а, наоборот, сама должна под нее подстраиваться и ей соответствовать. Иначе слишком заметным становится и без того присущее политике лицемерие. И может получиться как в известной фразе, что "демократия – это когда у власти мы, демократы". А свобода слова – это когда говорят то, что нам нравится. Нет, свобода слова – она для всех.
В качестве постскриптума хочется сказать, что если и есть у победы Трампа хоть какой-то позитивный эффект, то состоит он в том, что политика многих американских компаний, в том числе и социальных сетей, сдвинется в сторону уменьшения цензуры и откровенных перегибов с affirmative action. Ну хоть так.
