«В связи с потенциальным скорым запретом сборника статей Бориса Лазаревича Вишневского “Хроники возрожденного Арканара” стоит взглянуть на место из “Трудно быть богом” Стругацких, послужившее вдохновением для такого названия. Итак, главный герой дон Румата и примкнувший к нему самодовольный и трусливый дурак дон Тамэо пробираются переулками и огородами по только что пережившему военный переворот городу. Далее цитата:
“– Отвратительная вонь, – с чувством сказал Румата.
– Да. Ужасная, - согласился дон Тамэо, закрывая флягу. – Но зато как вольно дышится в возрожденном Арканаре! И цены на вино упали вдвое…”
Как известно, коннице Ордена не обязательно внезапно высаживаться в гавани, чтобы страна оказалось захваченной силами, не имеющими ничего общего с народом и преследующими исключительно свои собственные интересы. И произойти это может не единомоментно, а постепенно, скажем, в течение четверти века. Правда, есть у Стругацких неточность: цены на вино в таком случае вовсе не падают, а очень даже наоборот, и водка, как я прочел в газете, уже минимум по 349 руб. за пол-литра, а импортное вино, как я услышал по радио, уже редко где найдешь дешевле 1000 руб. за бутылку. Зато дышится вольно.
