member of the Federal Political Council of the Yabloko party, academician Alexei Arbatov. It concerns the possible development of a dialogue between the Russian Federation and the United States on the preservation of institutional instruments regulating issues of nuclear deterrence. This is a neutral and balanced assessment of the current situation, when many international arms limitation treaties, including nuclear ones, are denounced or not renewed, which threatens an even greater slide into chaos in the world in the near future.
Separately, I will share the observation, confirmed by A. Arbatov’s interview, that decent experts, in relation to the current world order, prefer to use the term “polycentric” rather than “multipolar”, because, as political scientist G.V. Golosov rightly noted in one of his posts about a year ago, the Earth is a ball and there are still two poles on its surface, but there can be an infinite number of centers.

«Не могу не порекомендовать интервью члена Федерального политсовета партии “Яблоко” академика Алексея Арбатова. Оно касается возможного развития диалога РФ и США о сохранении институциональных инструментов, регулирующих вопросы ядерного сдерживания. Это нейтральная и взвешенная оценка сложившейся на сегодняшний день ситуации, когда многие международные договоры об ограничении вооружений, в том числе ядерных, денонсируются или не продлеваются, что грозит еще большим сползанием к хаосу в мире в недалеком будущем.
Отдельно поделюсь наблюдением, подтверждаемым и интервью А. Арбатова, что приличные эксперты применительно к складывающемуся сейчас миропорядку предпочитают использовать термин “полицентричный”, а не “многополярный”, потому что, как справедливо заметил политолог Г. В. Голосов в одном из своих постов около года назад, Земля – это шар и полюсов на ее поверхности все же два, а вот центров может быть бесконечно много.
