But it can be expanded - and it is necessary: ​​on the same television, which millions of Russians watch every day, into the clearly unfriendly word show, albeit bashfully transliterated in Cyrillic. Let's take it.
An excellent replacement for the English “show” would be our Russian “window dressing” - mind you, it’s actually a direct translation, but there’s a lot of additional meaning. Of course, a corresponding updating of epithets is also necessary: ​​talk show is a talking show; reality is an animal show (for reality shows show life, that is, the belly); an intellectual show is an abstruse show; The well-known format of the capital show is profitable window dressing.
