“Dear friends! You supported the idea of publishing a series of my stories about elections, funny and not so funny. Therefore, I offer you a continuation

, where I crossed out communists from the ballot on the eve of the election.
On election day itself, I sat on the so-called additional voter list and handed out ballots to those who came with absentee ballots. There are usually not very many such people, and so that I would not get bored, they handed me a copy of the city court’s decision to remove the list of these same “Communists of Russia” from the elections and said that all voters interested in this issue would be sent to me for clarification.
I am sure that this text is read by normal people who are not very interested in politics. And they have never heard of “Communists of Russia”. Therefore, I will give a brief summary. The Communist Party “Communists of Russia” is the so-called. spoiler party. It is completely controlled by the authorities and is needed by it in order to take away votes from the Communist Party of the Russian Federation due to its similar name and emblem. In regional and local elections they can receive 2-3% of the vote. It would seem nonsense. But these few percent usually result in a lost deputy seat for the Communist Party of the Russian Federation and an extra mandate for United Russia. They do not disdain introducing namesakes, as was the case in 2019 during the elections to the Moscow City Duma. The Communist Party of the Russian Federation, of course, is terribly angry about this and always tries to remove them from the elections through the courts. Sometimes it works, like in St. Petersburg in 2016.
That year, the Communist Party of the Russian Federation called its party program “10 steps to a decent life.” And “Communists of Russia”, as part of the absurdity, called their program “Stalin’s 10 blows to capitalism.” Let me note that this is roughly what the quality work of political strategists looks like.
We return to my polling station on the street. Hasek in St. Petersburg. I'm sitting here missing the additional list. And then a voter of very retirement age, but at the same time quite cheerful, comes up to me and asks why some of the communists have been crossed out. I begin to tell her about the court decision, about the already printed ballots and that in the Duma elections you can still vote for this party, and it was only removed from the elections to the Legislative Assembly of St. Petersburg. An elderly voter looked at me carefully and said harshly: “They were scared of Stalin’s ten blows to capitalism!” And then more conciliatory: “Okay, I’ll go and vote for the Communist Party of the Russian Federation.”
To say that I was surprised is to say nothing. Okay, I can know the name of the useless election program of the useless dwarf spoiler party. But how did the Kupchina pensioner know him? This means that I saw, heard and remembered somewhere. I even came to vote for them. This is called high-quality political technologies.

"Дорогие друзья! Вы поддержали идею публикации серии моих историй о выборах, забавных и не очень. Поэтому предлагаю вам продолжение истории, где я вычеркивал коммунистов из избирательного бюллетеня накануне выборов.
В сам день голосования я сидел на так называемом дополнительном списке избирателей и выдавал бюллетени тем, кто приходил с открепительными удостоверениями. Таких людей обычно не очень много, и, чтобы я не скучал, мне вручили копию постановления городского суда о снятии с выборов списка этих самых “Коммунистов России” и сказали, что всех интересующихся этим вопросом избирателей будут отправлять ко мне за разъяснениями.
Я уверен, что читают этот текст люди нормальные и политикой не очень интересующиеся. И про “Коммунистов России” никогда не слышавшие. Поэтому дам краткую справку. Коммунистическая партия “Коммунисты России” - это т.н. партия-спойлер. Она полностью подконтрольна власти и нужна ей, чтобы за счет схожих названия и эмблемы отнимать голоса у КПРФ. На региональных и местных выборах они могут получить 2-3% голосов. Казалось бы ерунда. Но эти несколько процентов обычно выливаются в недополученное депутатское место для КПРФ и лишний мандат для Единой России. Не брезгают они и выставлением однофамильцев, как это было в 2019 г. на выборах в Московскую городскую думу. КПРФ, разумеется, жутко злится по этому поводу и всегда пытается снять их с выборов через суд. Иногда удается, как в Петербурге в 2016 г.
В тот год у КПРФ партийная программа называлась “10 шагов к достойной жизни”. А “Коммунисты России” в рамках абсурдизации свою программу назвали “10 сталинских ударов по капитализму”. Замечу, что примерно так и выглядит качественная работа политтехнологов.
Возвращаемся на мой избирательный участок на ул. Гашека в Санкт-Петербурге. Сижу я скучаю на дополнительном списке. И тут ко мне подходит избирательница сильно пенсионного возраста, но при этом вполне бодрая, и спрашивает, почему одни из коммунистов вычеркнуты. Я начинаю ей рассказывать про решение суда, про уже напечатанные бюллетени и что на думских выборах все еще можно проголосовать за данную партию, а снята она только с выборов в Законодательное собрание Санкт-Петербурга. Пожилая избирательница внимательно на меня посмотрела и жестко сказала: “Испугались десяти сталинских ударов по капитализму!” А потом более примирительно: “Ладно уж, пойду за КПРФ проголосую”.
Сказать, что я был удивлен - это ничего не сказать. Ладно я могу знать название никому не нужной предвыборной программы никому не нужной карликовой партии-спойлера. Но откуда его знала купчинская пенсионерка. Значит, где-то увидела-услышала и запомнила. Даже голосовать за них пришла. Это и называется качественными политтехнологиями.
