January 27, 2024 marks the 80th anniversary of the lifting of the siege of Leningrad.
Such memorable dates, it seems to me, can serve as a good reason to learn a little more about the events whose anniversary is celebrated.
In this regard, I highly recommend the books of the historian Sergei Yarov “
Daily life of besieged Leningrad
” and “
Siege ethics
" Based on documentary sources and with all possible impartiality, they depict a picture of life in a besieged city, a picture of one of the most terrible humanitarian disasters of the 20th century.

27 января 2024 года исполняется 80 лет со дня снятия блокады Ленинграда.
Такие памятные даты, как мне кажется, могут служить хорошим поводом, чтобы несколько подробнее узнать о событиях, годовщина которых отмечается.
В связи с этим я вам очень рекомендую книги историка Сергея Ярова “Повседневная жизнь блокадного Ленинграда” и “Блокадная этика”. В них на основе документальных источников и со всей возможной беспристрастностью изображена картина жизни в осажденном городе, картина одной из самых страшных гуманитарных катастроф XX века.
